From beach to beach
From Los Cancajos beach to Playa Salemera beach, we first head south past the airport. As there are no continuous paths along the water, we use narrow tracks between the banana plantations and reach the small beach of Salemera with great views of small bathing bays, black beach peaks and the blue Atlantic.
There is gastronomy in the form of a small beach bar (with a menu) or we can lie down on the beach before we set off on little-used asphalt roads on the ascent to two of the most spectacular viewpoints, the Mirador Montana Brena and the Mirador de Las Toscas.
The island lies at our feet and the view extends far across the Atlantic or to the mountain ridge, the Cumbre, which divides the island into east and west.
The descent provides us with a strong breeze and once again offers spectacular views of the island’s capital Santa Cruz, the harbor and the city beach
